This has been mentioned here before. I think it's the email address of flubit's ceo. Something to do with the way Google process the order from flubit.

When they made your order at Flubit, the person must have checked the box to associate it with the current Google Account, so it's assumed they use one with the CEO's name on it. I confirmed this with them a month or more ago and suggested they uncheck that box to make the account associated but it's still happening and it's quite understandable that you'd be worried that it's used stock, but it's not. Google probably associate it remotely, it's just a matter of knowing the IMEI. So don't worry, your tablet is probably just fine!

It's a lovely bit of kit, thinner than i actually thought it would be! Hassle free the whole process

Sorry, I misinterpreted when you said you're back to having a "NEW" Nexus. The "NEW" bit eluded me.

As a former iCrap user, is Android worth the move in itself or is it all down to the devices available?

I loved the iphone when i had it, but when i used the s2 i just thought it was just much much better. I felt it was more customisable and the camera was far better and then the battery life warranted the change alone.

itunes is also just what i call needy software, you couldn't turn on the laptop without it wanting to update some component or sync. I rarely use Kies but love the drag and drop mentality of android.

Wouldn't go back to iphone now I have to say. I can't see any 'revoloutionary' developments in the phone market coming. I think its plateaued more or less with developers trying to out best each other now with gimmicks, hand gestures to turn volume down or siri etc.

These are just my thoughts, i'm not a fan boy of either, i just prefer android now is all

I agree, the difference between a high-end Samsung and a HTC is more about the skin and the gimmicks, which is what they use to market their handsets, and less about the screen and internal hardware. A phone with good hardware and the ability to flash a stock Android does it for me. Hence the Nexus devices being brilliant because they're cheap, run stock as standard, and have pretty high-end hardware with some compromises that a lot of people can live with.

Any for anyone who still waiting, I just got this email earlier today about my order. It was stuck of waiting for dispatch for some time.

They reckon I should get the nexus 4 between the 9th-15th July. Ordered on the 27th of June.
    Dear ironictoaster

Thank you for your enquiry and I can confirm that your order is currently being processed.

Due to the large number of order received for this product there is a slight delay and the estimated dispatch date is the 6th July

We will keep you update once the order has been processed and the order has been dispatched

    Best regards

    David

Yeah that's about right. Google/Flubit usually take about 2 weeks from the date of the order for Nexus 4 devices. It's not the case with other devices or stores when using Flubit, I can testify that they are as quick as ordering directly from each respective store.

I ordered mine via Flubit on 25/06 and got it in my Parcel Motel in Shannon on 04/07.

Really impressed with the build quality and the quality overall considering the price. I owned iphone 4 for 2.5 years and still think Apple apps are better but the phone itself is brilliant - excellent quality screen, very responsive, the phone is fast. Very happy so far.Need to find a cover for it now :)

A lot has changed in thr 9 months since this thread started and I don't have time to read the thousands of posts. Can someone quickly summarise what the ordering process is and what I can expect to pay

Sure, but they're probably not posting here. :)

If you don't want a Nexus 4, find another phone or don't, or whatever suits you. This thread is for people who want one and have questions about the ordering process, not just to whine about it.

Doesn't really matter if you go through it or not. It's take forever for delivery either way. Google are very slow.

Probably going to go ahead and order one this week.

I see they're on sale on Amazon also (or via Amazon).

Anyone have any luck just ordering elsewhere? Or is there a snag to be hit doing that?

I'll have a look on adverts for a new one that's reasonably priced and if not I'll just order one this way.

I was monitoring Adverts.ie over the past few weeks for one and even though most were in perfect condition, the prices were still high enough, with little difference in ordering through Flubit, so I deceided to go with Flubit in the end in case I needed to return etc.

Some folks possibly ordered one or more too many because they tried ordering from Google multiple times to make sure at least one got shipped and got luckier than they'd bargained for, and are now trying to offload the extra devices at cost because they're not needed. They could technically get a refund but it might be less hassle to just sell them off at cost while doing someone a favor at the same time. Selling them for more than cost would be bad form and I wouldn't make an offer to anyone doing that on Adverts.

Patience my dear man, patience. Give it a whirl tonight or tomorrow. It takes up to 24 hours to become active but rest assured, your phone is still on the way. :)

It should be delivered to PM tomorrow morning. Take the DIR number and put it into http://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace to confirm that it's on the tracker there and this will confirm also that it will arrive at PM before noon tomorrow. :)

I'm living in Canada now but can't decide if I should get the Nexus 4 or wait for the Nexus 5! I have a SGSII running Cyanogenmod 10.1 so I guess I don't need to upgrade right now...

The new nexus and Motorola X phone should only be a few months away. It's worth waiting to see what they are like. You'd kick yourself otherwise.

Look on the tracking Waybill, it's somewhere in the middle-left area.
