Compare these two screenshots from planefinder.net The first was taken 8 days ago at 19:00. The second was taken last night at 19:40.27 visible plane in the NYC area compared to 1 brave Russian tonight!

russies were also very "brave" during volcano eruption- trying to sneak by flying lower altitudes. some flights ended up diverting short from their destinations due to fuel consumption at lower altitude
