Seems like a promising premise for a sitcom.

Seems somebody thought running a huge B&B was a good idea.

We could convert 29 of them into bedrooms meaning the rent would come down to €35.01 p/w. Albeit that's with 57 people sharing one bathroom.

    Wrong thread?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Everyone could have an alloted minute bathroom time per hour.

I'd say it was meant to be a nursing home or retirement village.

I say this given the ad says its a 30 bed licensed nursing home with permission for 15 more beds.

Hmm, let's look at this photo & see if we can spot anything that would give us a clue:

A nursing home with it's own bar? I want to go there when I'm old!

Saddens me this. whoever invested in this, they invested big, and with a lot of attention to detail - classy for a b&b.

but i suppose with the hotel mkt spiralling down this is inevitable.

be a fab stop for a bunch of artists or similar, if someone had the initial dollars to organise it.

or the owners should come to a deal with a group of some kind.

    sigh.

i wonder what causalities of the tigger will be commandeered/ availed of by artists?

The tax breaks for nursing homes are too good to give up.

Bet you the 2 guys who run the Park Hotel in Kerry and have the RTE programme on guest houses are behind this.

Spent millions on converting it to a B&B, rent it to large corporate parties from abroad. 2 years later, hens and stag parties from England ruined the place.
