    Hi Everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to have a look at this post.
I am currently employed (full time for last 6 years). My co-inhabitant (the misses) is receiving an extremely modest Job Seekers Allowance.
I want to go back to collage. Can I avail of the "back to work allowance"?
    Thanks everyone.

*further info: 2 kids, salary of 31k

I presume you mean Back to Education allowance. And no you wouldn't be eligible as you need to be unemployed for 9 months or more.

    Unless
If you have been awarded statutory redundancy and are entitled to a qualifying social welfare payment immediately before you start the course (note that it is not necessary to actually be receiving the payment) you can get immediate access to the BTEA without any waiting period. You must take part in the BTEA scheme within one year of getting statutory redundancy.

    Taken from Citizens info
Link here gives a good overview on the BTEA
