I can't see a Punk-Ryback rematch at this point. It's clear they don't want either guy to beat the other cleanly, so what's the point in doing it again. It's not going to be the final showdown. Maybe we will get the final showdown with Punk-Cena, but Cena being the face he should win. Although if they are planning Punk-Rock it doesn't work, so again that means another messy finish to allow Punk to win the title, which we've already seen three times in Punk-Cena matches lately (RAW 1000, Summerslam, N.O.C).

The most likely option for me is a triple-threat, although personally I would love to see the final showdown with Punk-Cena, with Cena the face winning come out on top; with Cena-Rock at the Rumble and Punk-Rock at WrestleMania. But everyone is convinced it will be Punk-Rock at the Rumble so who knows.

Although Cena-Ziggler have been feuding, I'd expect that to go down on Raw in the next few weeks.

It was a fairly average show with Sheamus/Show above average. A lot of the other matches felt like something you'd get on Raw or SD.

Orton vs Del Rio - I was liking this match a lot but it got sloppy after the messed up spot with Del Rio coming off the ropes. The RKO was rather clumsy looking at the end. Good match, nevertheless.

Tag title match - I was very disappointed with the non-finish of the tag match. You do a tournament for a number of weeks for the number one contender spot and then when it comes to the PPV you do a DQ finish? Ridiculous. This made me feel stupid for investing in this match in the first place.

Miz/Kingston - Okay match. Hopefully the end of this feud now. I will say Miz's pre-match promo about it being the apocalypse because Kingston was champ or something...that was really dumb.

Cesaro/Gabriel - Again okay but crowd was dead. Crowd was crap for most of the night.

Rey/Sin Cara vs PTP - I liked this match and I thought the PTP looked good here. The spot with Sin Cara landing awkwardly was scary. Hope he's alright.

Sheamus/Show - match of the night for me. One of the most surprising finishes I've seen in a long while, especially since Sheamus took a beating for most of the match. I really enjoyed the finish to this one. Interested to see where they go from here.

Diva title match - Wasn't great.

Punk vs Ryback - As a contest it was fine and the visual afterwards of Ryback on the Cell was very good but the finish irked me. I think pinning Ryback at this point was a mistake.

As a score I would give it a 7/10 PPV.

they booked themselves into a no-win situation in the main event, and the result was a very meh for any match, let alone HIAC.
might be a good thing to have Ryback lose though, I can't see any real future for him at main event status.

the biggest suprise of the ppv was that Del Rio was pretty decent for once, shame he had to put over Mr. Wellnessviolations.

it was good in the WHC match that both kicked out of each other's finishers, making both of them look strong.

Tag match was okay, Bryan being the only one of the four worth writing home about.

The other matches were just your run of the mill RAW/SD matches.

    5/10

nothing really bad, nothing really good, a 6/10 show if that option existed :p show wasn't a patch on night of champions last month though

big show and sheamus was motn, the right guy went over in the main-event

From what I saw almost all the matches were pretty good.

I missed the Divas match and the most of the HiaC first time. Going back I only watched from the Divas finish.

Punk/Ryback was the weakest match of the night. Fine with the referee screwjob and Punk desperately trying to get out of the cell afterwards but Sheamus/Big Show was far, far superior (and the match of the night) with Miz/Kingston second.

Thought Orton/Del Rio recovered well - the commentary helped - from whatever that misstep was. And it's nice to see Orton no longer goes into a hissy fit when something like that happens.

Also like that Cole can actually keep up with JBL now but is stopped from going into his excesses.

Worst parts of the PPV were the HiaC, crowd (Cesaro and Gabriel deserved better), and Miz's sloppy plug of that TV show/film/*shrug*.

So yeah, I was largely satisfied but Punk/Ryback didn't get anywhere near living up to the pretty good build up. Love that Dark Knight Rises-inspired promo.

Incidentally, I like how the poll is using the video game reviewing system where anything below 70% isn't worth buying.

Won't rate it yet as I want to re-watch some of it.

But I liked the ending to Punk v Ryback. Punk winning but Ryback standing tall makes sense to me. Also Rybacks undefeated streak ending is a good thing. Now they can just focus on his monster durability and strength rather than an undefeated streak. Eventually that streak would end and he would lose a big part of his persona. By ending it early in his 'career' that stops a really long streak developing and in turn stops them ever worrying about how to book themselves out of a hole next time he takes on a big star.

Hopefully likes of Cesaro, Kofi, Gabriel and Sandow get plenty more exposure on PPV and are not forgotten come Wrestlemania season.

Didn't like the finish to HIAC mostly because Ryback hadn't taken enough damage to be pinned like that, even with a fast count.

Sheamus V Show was surprisingly good. Good to see them both kick out of the finishers after hyping them up like they did, made them both look strong.

The rest was pretty forgettable. Orton and Del Rio looked kinda clumsy even before the huge botch. No reason to have the DQ finish to Hell No and Rhodes Scholars. Kofi and Miz was pretty good but nothing special.

Really? He got a dig in the balls, rolled up by Punk, the ref was lying on his legs helping prevent a kick out and the ref made a fast count.

Also Ryback took plenty of offence he just doesn't sell it.

Orton/Del Rio being the first match meant I could start wathing from about 20 mins in. Personally I think they're 2 of the most boring wrestlers in WWE.
Didn't mind the finish since it wasn't just a roll up and fast count, but also the ref was holding his legs in position while counting.
Eve clearly missed the move from the top rope to finish the divas match.
Sheamus/Show was decent mainly because it wasn't an obvious winner.

The worst thing about the finish to the main event was it means Ryback will be getting another shot in the near future. Even in what was essentially a no DQ match with weapons galore, it was still boring. Cant imagine how painful a regular match with Ryback would be for that lenght of time. The five minute squashes do be bad enough.

Sheamus vs Show was the easy MOTN and the only thing worth watching. Only thing I didnt like was how they made a point of showing Ziggler before hand, but not mentioning him again after that. Even a failed cash in attempt would have been better. Have him run in like Bryan did the last time Show won a title but get KO'ed before he can cash in. At least then he would look like an idiot for guaranteeing a cash in then not even showing up.

    Happy enough with it.

People were crazy to suggest to put the belt on Ryback this early. Chap clearly needs way more work for longer matches and still has a while to go. Definitely agree that it's a good thing that the streak is now broke, they can now focus on making him a better wrestler than a squash monkey.

Show/ Sheamus was good for sure, thought it would be boring but it was done very well. Both kicking out from the finishers was great too.

The rest was meh.....Give the tag titles to PTP!!!!

I think Punk v Sheamus and Show v Ryback may actually be better fits for feuds going forward.

Not sure if the timing suits Punk v Sheamus with Rock coming back and the unresolved Punk v Cena issues.

I wonder how many of those giving a 7 would have given a 6 if they could?

Who are those angry bastards that give it a 1?
Gave it a 5. ADR vs Boredom was decent, Show vs Sheamus was ok(wouldn't of put the belt on Show tho). The tag title match was probably the worst match Bryan has been involved in since debuting and a lot of the card felt like dragged out filler. One thing that sticks out is just how few of the roster are over despite being on tv for years. Main event was average, just a load of power moves and hiding how out of place Ryback is in that spot. Jbl was great as ever and I still don't get why Vickie turns face when Heyman is around.

Just saw the last 5 minutes there, didn't see a single second otherwise, but the picture of Ryback atop the cell was pretty f'in cool.

only caught the last hr but it was a decent enough hour i thought, might watch remainder at justins house sometime this week. the punk end was cheap but they were booked in a corner. good to have punk still as champ and the end image was cool

    4.

Only thing I enjoyed was Sheamus vs Show.Which was very good.

Orton/Del Rio was basically a run of the mill TV match with a predictable outcome.

Tag title match was decent until the extremely crap finish.

    Miz/Kofi another pointless TV match.

    Same with Claudio/Gabriel.

Diva's match was the same as always.

PTP vs Cara/Rey was meh,Cara was lucky to walk away from it too after landing on his head.

Main event was passable, with an unimaginative finish. Why bother booking Ryback so strong for all these months if you're just going to throw it all down the drain like that for Punk, who's never going to be a bigger star then he already is.Ryback was worth a punt but WWE bottled it,yet again.

Meltzer and an unimpressed Jericho discussing the Ryback match.

Orton vs Del Rio - This match was going great until Del Rio's turnbuckle botch and the ensuing 5 seconds of odd slapping and no one knowing what to do. The RKO at the end was a(nother) case of someone falling on the ground while Orton catches his head. I wasn't surprised at that, but I was surprised that they replayed it for everyone to see a second time that Del Rio was pinned on the back of falling on the canvass and little more.
Was routing for Orton and he won so hurrah! I was hoping him and Wade would get back to business but perhaps Survivor Series will delay that (again).

Tag title match - I thought the match was good, love Rhodes Scholars and Hell No. Whenever I watch Kane these days I remember back to when he used to suplex two people at once and enstill real fear. We'll never get that back but I was pleased to see his chokeslam bonanza. I think there should be punishment for champions who win by disqualification (ie vacating the title) and would love to see either a rematch of this or an eventual four-way tag match at TLC for the title. I also want to see Bryan and Kane hug again. Where's the love, guys?

Miz/Kingston - I actually quite enjoyed this match, even though half of it was spent watching Miz take off Kofi's socks (?!). I hate Miz, I think he's boring and I rate Kofi as an entertaining wrestler, so I'm happy to see Kofi continue to come out on top. Perhaps R-Truth could betray Kofi in Miz's favour to spice up this fued (or it could just die?).

Cesaro/Gabriel - I wasn't paying attention to this match and neither were the crowd. If you're going to book a match at the last minute with a champion who isn't that interesting or popular, against a challenger or similar esteem (I like Justin Gabriel, but I'm not sure the WWE universe pays much attention to him) make it the opening match.

Rey/Sin Cara vs PTP - V. good match, though confused as to why it was on after the championship match. I really like that the WWE are investing in their tag team division and wonder where it will go. I see Sin Cara's penchant for endangering himself in the ring hasn't gone away. One day he's going to hurt someone else though and though I miss the old Sin Cara, he's more cautious now and he still isn't safe in the ring. Days should be numbered.

Sheamus/Show - Absolutely awesome match, and I never expected Big Show to actually win. Sheamus took an almighty beating but when he kicked out of the first KO I was incredulous (but the 12 yr old in me was in awe). I forgave creative somewhat when Show kicked out of the brogue kick and got the 2nd KO. Both of these two really showed us how much they can do in the ring and didn't drag it out or try anything ridiculous. This was a brilliant main event match... it's a shame it wasn't the main event match. I find myself supporting the heels these days and this was no exception. Good on ya, Big Show!

Diva title match - Eve and Layla pulling hair and screaming in pain was tedious. Kaitlyn, against all odds, was the better woman here. Now if she just gets rid of the hair that makes her look perpetually 12 years old I would be supporting her for the title.

Punk vs Ryback - I agree with Punk that he had nothing to do with it, Brad was just trying to save the company from an even worse PPV finish. A number of things I think were unexplained about this match and the preceding story: Punk's heel turn I get, Punk's pussy turn I don't. Ryback has about as much right to this title shot as Brodus Clay does, with his several jobber squashes not really being very impressive at all. This meant there was no possible good ending to the match. It also meant that my inner 12 yr old wasn't allowed to watch it, I couldn't get into the fight at all.
