    Good job lads (y)

The only good to come from that thread was the Baba O' Reilly UFC montage someone linked, never saw it before, was really good.

It's unreal! They show it at UFC events in between the Undercard and the Main Card. Watching it in a room with thousands of other fans makes your hair stand on end!

Sure this UFC thing is a terrible sport altogether! Won't somebody think of the Children for the love of Ares!

Not like the noble art of boxing where fights are fixed, boxers are hyped up as a result of beating cannon fodder, rival organizations refuse to have unification bouts, rival promoters refuse to allow their fighters face each other and organizations themselves exists only to answer to the whims of certain promoters.

Not like Soccer where big teams get unfair refereeing decisions go in their favour in nearly every match. Where millionaire footballers act like a bunch of children, try to get each other in trouble, throw tantrums when things don't go their way and act like they've single-handedly saved the planet when they get to ball to roll over a specific white line.

Not like GAA where pulling somebody's scrotum off is considered a bit of fun and part of the game, and that if you can't take it then you're just not tough enough to be playing an amateur, community-centric game! Where every weekend fights break out with supporters/players and officials and it's all dismissed as hand-bags and any criticism means you're obviously too soft and should take up knitting instead.

Not like horse racing or F1 where a bunch of millionaires get to race their favourite animal/machine around a track for the pleasure of some other millionaires - if they happen to be part of a dictatorial regime even better, said regime can show off all it's shiny weapons to keep it's people off the streets and let the millionaires play in peace!

Not like the rugby, where so-called civilized men charge at each other like bulls.... Interestingly the only trouble I ever had from sports fans was drunken rugby fans who robbed some food off me one night! Food! But you know they're more educated and informed about the sport or something like that...

On the other topic, I'd often wear a bad-boy or Affliction t-shirt, I don't do it as I think it looks tough though, I think they look ok - I go for some of the toned down ones e.g. Affliction one that reference American Customs - so to the uninformed it looks like some random car reference. I don't see it as any different to somebody wearing a Celtic t-shirt of jersey - I don't assume they play for Celtic or that they are even any good at football, just they they maybe enjoy watching it... I do try to avoid skulls and obvious "fight" references though.
Besides, didn't Bad Boy start out a a surf label in Brazil? I know a lot of people wearing Billabong t-shirts that can't surf either!

Well that's the end of my rant for today, I know I am preaching to the converted in here for the most part and am thankful I didn't get dragged into the AH topic!
