You can get The Sopranos and The Wire box sets on Amazon for €55, and The West Wing has never gone over €60 either.

Not much of a sale IMO.

Yeah you're right but at least they're coming into the real World, for ages these shops were selling at prices 50%, sometimes 100% higher than prices you can very easily pick up on the internet.

At least with realistic prices there will start getting proper sales which will be good for the domestic ecomony.:)

l'd be happy to buy the stuff in town if the prices are not rip off.;)

The prices charged by Amazon are not "realistic" prices.
    Isn't HMV a British company?

Jesus wept, some people would argue with the wall.

A load of our City centre shops are non-Irish, so your amazing fact that HMV is British is completely missing the point l was making.

HMV employ in the domestic economy. It was a general point about lrish shops overcharging versus prices on the internet. Domestic sales create domestic employment.

You disagree with that point ?

I think they're almost exclusively bought as presents these days.

If it wasn't for Box Sets most of my family would have to get vouchers and hand made gifts from me at Christmas.
