    Hi Folks,

    can anyone please tell me how in the name of God do I send money from my AIB account, to my paypal account.

    OP, I don't think you can load up your PayPal account directly from your bank account (in Ireland anyways), you'll need to use a credit card or some sort, like 3v, Visa, Mastercard, etc

    If you check out the PayPal site they'll provide you with the information you need.

    It's simply a matter of having the correct account number and sort code for the PayPal account (vague memory of it being BoI College Green account they use for Ireland, but could be mistaken there - dig through the backend of your PayPal account and you'll find the details of the bank relevant to you) along with your own account number for the reference so they know who/which account to credit the payment to.

    Been a while since I set up the payments on my own bank account so it's a vague memory of the specific details, once it's setup once it's simply a matter of selecting that account.

    As mentioned abov, you just have to get the paypal bank account details which are on the paypal website somewhere. You also need a reference number unique to your paypal account so they know what account to credit the funds too.

    Send a small amount first to make sure its working. Should be across in 48 to 72 hours

    You need the account number and sort code for paypal and i think you quote a reference number specific to you when you transfer. you can then save the paypal details as a beneficiary on your aib online.

    to be honest, you really need a credit card for paypal, its so much easier. but if you don't have one the bank transfer can be done. it takes ages and is a pain in the hole.
