Some English channels on Saorview

    recently found bbc channels coming up on saorview but not working did an auto tune and channel 4 and Utv are now showing on saorview but bbc is gone altogether is there any way i can get it back manually tuning maybe ??
    living in leitrim by the way......

    what box are you using / which way is your antenna pointing ?

    you can usually pick a channel / frequency of the nearest NI transmitter,

    am using the akura saorview box bought from lidl its pointing north east!
    looking at the map we are just beside the green area but not in it but if we are getting utv/channel 4 etc u wud think we would be able to get bbc!

    I found something similar to this on a Walker saorview box.

    Day before switchover I did first scan - picked up irish + BBC channels.

    A couple of days later did an another auto scan as the freeview signal would have been stronger. Lost the BBC channels but gained UTV, C4, etc.

    On Walker there is a option to do a full install from scratch - which I did and that did the trick. Cleared existing channels and I got all the Irish + BBC + UTV, C4, C5, etc.

    Can you do a full install on your box?
