    anyone spread forestry rock phosphate on grassland
    good or bad idea?

    Haven't done it but I think it is released very slowly, years maybe.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    we were advised to spread it this year based on soil samples. we went with 2000 gallons of pig slurry instead and build up with a better balanced fertiliser over the next two to three years. truth be told it was alot to do with perceived costs although i didnt overly research it.

    Was told in college that it is released over years hence why its used in forestry, Slurry would be the best imo to build levels cheaply in a reasonable time frame keep an eye on pH often overlooked on grassland unless reseeding

    No its very hard to drop the pH in the short term, easier to raise them
