Taper Cramps

Does Taper Madness manifest itself in the legs as well as the head?

I've done the training for DCM but my legs can't seem to handle the taper! I did a good long run last Sunday week and I eased down the mileage all of last week but my legs aren't reacting well to the taper. They're 'sparking' and cramping like crazy and my calves are locked solid at the moment. I've had to rest up all week as a result and could barely manage a 20min easy run this morning.

Anyone else have similar taper symptoms as a result of easing back / resting?

I have found my legs cramping now and again this week, which wouldn't be a usual thing for me. I don't like this taper lark either. I was going ok until I started tapering. Have to go back to phsyio this evening with an old injury that's decided now would be an ideal time to reappear.

I'm praying sure come Monday, we'll all wake up, with fresh new legs, ready to go :D
