Better of with a standard program or should I talk to a personal trainer??

    Thanks

By the way Im a girl so I don't want super muscleS!

Well as a girl you'd find it very, very difficult to get super muscles as you lack the levels of testosterone needed! :)

There are more knowledgable people here who can direct you more specifically, but you should do a mixture of weight training and cardio.

Diet is hugely important too. You'll need a clean diet to go hand in hand with your training.

You could start doing some basic compound movements (weights) a couple of times a week with a couple of cardio sessions thrown in. You'll work all your major muscle groups - there's tons of info out there on these exercises.

Are you in a gym? Maybe you could do some kettle bell classes too.

If you need help with doing the movements correctly you should speak to a personal trainer.

All you need to lose weight is an hour walk a day, or join a fitness class or something where other people in your situation are doing the same and to eat right e.g

Breakfast - small bowl with low fat milk of porridge with fruit mixed in
Lunch - 2 slices of brown bread filled with salad and low fat youghurt - no meat!
Dinner -Fresh Fish or chicken grilled with 2 small potatoes/half portion rice and loads of Veg(Veg should be double of the other stuff)
Night stack - low fat youghurt or one bag of law fat crips

Its not that hard to lose weight. All you have to do is stick to a routine, exercise and cut out all junk food, and eat smaller portions!

Please ignore this OP. Absolute rubbish.

You've less than 1000 calories on this diet FFS! There's hardly any protein and recommends crisps (!?!).

OP, if you want burn fat and get a bit more toned, you'll need to do more than just walking.

So what do you expect then? the tayto's are a treat

This diet will work! What do you want to do. Eat 2000 calories where it will be even harder to lost weight? Yes the recommended daily allowance for a person in shape for a woman is 2000 calories. I will repeat the in shape bit. Why eat the extra amount of food? Your body will burn off the calories from the fat you allready have. What should she do then? continue eating and build up more fat? A one hour walk a day will suffice and then when you lose a good bit of weight maybe add an extra spud or an extra sandwich. It all depends on the person, but cutting down on carbs is the main thing. Perhaps I could have adding an extra portion of healthy fish or chicken but please people just face the facts. I lost 8 stone from a diet the same at this. People saying you are not eating enough is absolute nonsense and your health will not suffer one bit from a diet like this! Its all about the motivation to do it.

Also the poster above is saying you need to do more than a hour walking a day. This is absolute nonsense. How could a person work all day, do more than an hour if overweight and unfit.

...aaaand this is why the Internet sucks.

OP, eat a level that supports weight loss and base your diet around meat and veg, nuts and seeds, some fruit, a small bit of starch and no sugar.

Don't listen to someone who's lost a ton of weight by eating nothing. Cutting your calories to the bare minimum works short term, but pretty much guarantees long term failure.

"Toning" is a result of resistance training, good nutrition and may some cardio (walks, intervals, whatever).

Check the stickies on this forum for some great advice on nutrition and working out you Metabolic rate , Draw up a diet plan with healthy foods you like and track the calories and % of carbs , proteins and fats , you want to be about 30%protein 20%fats and 50% carbs. Tweak your diet if you're over / under eating , decide on a sustainable weightloss calorie deficit goal and make this up through eating less calories than your MBR and burning calories through exercise . Cardio and weight training will help shape and tone your muscles and improve your fitness!

    Good Luck!

...I wonder is he able to read a post fully...

OP you've started 5 threads about this, with the one in the vegan&vegetartian forum being from the perspective of a mother. I'd help but I'd have a feeling it will just fall on deaf ears because of your posting everywhere.

Have you looked into the Keto diet?
It won't gain you muscle but it will shed the fat.

    Vegetarian (inc dairy/eggs) keto.
Not impossible. But not something that goes easily together.
