Just wanted to give these guys a mention today, I had my bike serviced with them a few months ago, they did a really good job on the service and bike has riden like a dream since.

I dropped into them today on a cycle to Howth to have them just re-adjust the gear selector and front de-railure, was in and out in 10mins, even bought some spare tubes from them (2 for €10) - seemed like a good deal.

Nice clean and neat shop, designed by cyclists for cyclists and always great service, well worth a checkout for anyone in or visiting Howth if you have not been in before. Even somewhere to park your bike in the shop. Support your local indipendant business!

50% of the OP's posts on boards refer to a certain bike shop....mmmm...

in fairness, it's a great shop.

Took a cycle to howth on my Giant, gears were rubbing and adjusting without me. Wasn't comfortable. Literally dropped it in for a quick look and they fixed it there and then. No charge.

They are good out there. I cycle/drive past at least two other shops on my way there and always refer friends to them. Best service I've found on the Northside.

Are you a competitor? One post says I did this on the recommendation of x and another said that these guys did this for me. What are you suggesting?

Just to balance things up a bit.......the free coffee they gave me one day while doing a quick repair was mediocre to say the least......

I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to the OP who had 4 posts 2 of which mentioned the shop.

FWIW I think it's an excellent shop with friendly staff. Just always suspicious of new posters singing the praises of a particular shop.

2 in 4 isn't that bad. If the ratio remains the same at 50 posts I'd get worried though. ;)

Yea I get that. I knew you weren't on about me. Good shop. I think I've said that at least 10 times previously on here!!!

That's your 12th post on Boards mentioning Humphries - are you their coffee supplier?

This shop is missing a significant opportunity IMHO.
I (along with hundreds of others) head to Howth after work at least one night per week to do some intervals.

The shop doesn't appear to open after 6pm.

Open late, put in a small coffee bar. Voila. More customers.
More sales. More profit. Happy owners.
    Obvious really.
I would bet that there are more cyclists in Howth early morning and late evening than during the daytime.

No but he does have a MAJOR horn for Derek! Not so sure he'd take delivery of that however!

I'd be the worst supplier since I drink so much of it!

The best coffee bar in Dublin is right next door to them.

I can't possibly comment. Confidentiality agreement.

Now I'm contradicting myself. More coffee needed methinks.

You mean more hangers on cluttering up the place!

I was in the Rapha store in London recently.
Despite being full of bellends like myself, it is great to sit down have a great coffee watch highlights from a race read free cycling mags and be able to buy a few things for the bike.
The store was doing a roaring trade between selling coffee & small snacks and selling bike gear.

They have simple hooks in the wall to hang your bike.

It's a great idea and I would like to see it catch on in Dublin.
    Howth is an obvious location.
