did anybody notice "future service" behind miriam on saorsat board

    If you look closely, at yesterday's analogue shut off coverage, did anybody notice that the saorsat board had two blank screens with "future service" written below them.

    wonder if there specifically dedicated to 3e and 3...

    should they have approached setanta for saorsat service?

    I have no doubt they are there for TV3 and 3e.

    When the initial Saorsat trials were running, there were two testcards RTÉNL1 and RTÉNL2 which carried EPG data for TV3 and 3e.

    Clue is in the name Saor = Free.

    Setanta are a payTv company that can barely afford the 28.2E carriage. They are not going to pay for
    1) Carriage on a platform used by < 5%
    2) Platform where they need to provide Encryption, viewing card support and a satellite setbox with CAM for card.
