I've had three bikes stolen in as many months & have had it. One of my bikes had a kryptonite on it.

Has any one tried these locks, they only go off when cut/damaged.
Lighter than bottle water. Kind of like a wire that you wrap around your bike.

Kryptonite what? We talking u locks here or cable? A krypto evolution should be mostly all you need, back it up with a cable to help discourage thieves from your front wheel. Do not use cable only as main lock. All of them can be cut through in seconds.

I have a tiny retractable cable lock that's supposed to alarm if cut*

*Of course, I haven't been able to test this!

It also has an option to alarm if moved (which I haven't used due to possibilities of 'false positives')

Obviously, it would only stop the most casual of theives (one who doesn't even carry a knife/scissors), although it might deter a better-equipped thief if they noticed the red warning sticker.

My battery ran out after a year or 2 and I didn't bother to replace it. I only use alone it if my bike is within sight, to prevent a casual walk-away, or as a secondary device with a U-lock, maybe on the front wheel.
