    Hi all,

Just wondering if people here could help me.
    ]
Looking to buy a 02 - 05 car with price range of up to 2200.

Need to get one sooner rather than later, for work purposes. Returning from London having secured a job here.

Any advice/ideas would be most welcome. Not hugely into cars, but would like something dependable and solid

You are looking at the older range of cars with that price.

Do you have a preference for petrol or diesel?

What mileage will you be doing per year?

    Saloon, estate, or hatch?

How much motor tax are you willing to pay per year, are you concerned about fuel economy? Need more information otherwise there are lots of different type cars that will be recomended.

I'd be looking for something no higher than 1.4, 100,000 mileage.

Petrol or diesel really doesn't make much of a difference to me.

Saloon or hatchback, I have no real grá for estates.

I suppose with the price of fuel, fuel economy is a concern.

Any advice for make/model of car would be great.

    Thanks for the quick replies

Any info on a Renault Megane?

Have seen a 04 model that looks good.

That model is a mine field when it comes to electrical problems. I wouldn't recommend one.

    A few recommendations:
    Mazda 323:

Those three look promising alright, the Lancer in particular looks nice from the outside.
