hi, any one got any advice on this?

I'm due to pay a court fine tomorrow for no NCT. 1 month to pay.

I am self employed receiving 83.00/week from Social Welfare and I was depending on invoices being cleared to pay this. This obviously hasn't happened and now I'm in a position where I can't pay this fine.

I basically live on 83 week with very little work over the summer. It wasn't realistic to pay out of the 83.

any advice would be great, cheers.

Possible to apply through relevant District Court office for an extension of time to pay. Give them a ring.

Turn up where? There'll be a penal warrant issued for the op. He can then pay the gardai or get lodged in prison

Turn up where? I was already in court. Received my fine and was given until tomorrow to pay it. I cant pay it so I need an extension.

How long will he be in prison?

You can ring for advise. Simple but you need to actually go down to the court to apply for an extension.

    All sorted.

He will be lodged for whatever period the judge decided he would if he defaulted on payment. Although in reality it would probably be a few hours.
