Hi my sister and parents are looking for docking stations. Preferably bluetooth compatible. Budget around €200-250 was looking at the PIONEER X-SMC3-k on richersounds.com for £99.95 for a display model but realised it needed an extra bluetooth dongle. My sister was looking for a tower but hard to find a decent one. Also they have really bad wifi so airplay is more than likely not an option !! Any suggestions ? Cheers John

Hi there, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Unfortunately we don't currently have anything with bluetooth.

Most of the companies that previously have offered bluetooth systems have now swayed away from bluetooth as it's not a great medium for transmitting audio. The better option is wireless if you have the option.

In saying that, one of the bluetooth docks that we would bring in is the Samsung DA-E651 which is £179.95.

My personal opinion is that as this is only £10 cheaper, the Altec Lansing inair 5000 is absolutely amazing and well worth the £10 in the difference.

    This sounds and works brilliantly.

I wouldn't have anything cheaper at the moment, but let me know what you think.

    Cheers

    Hi Dave,
Unfortunetely wireless isnt an option both their broadband speeds are like dial up. Awful !! My sister has her eye on the pioneer x-smc1-k (not sure if you stock these) or something like that. She wants an fm radio built in too. Shes looking for something delivered this day week at the latest.

    Cheers

    Hi John.

The wireless does not mean that you have to have superfast broadband. It uses wireless technology to communicate with other products like apple ipads etc.

This is much faster and more reliable than blue tooth as blue tooth is not a great transmission method for good sound quality.

There isn't a radio built into this product so that would be an issue.

Unfortunately I don't have anything that fits the bill at the moment that would have blue tooth and a radio on-board.

    Sorry.

    Dave
