Pigeon Problem- Help needed

We have a massive pigeon problem at work, in an old courthouse in meath and 100 plus pigeons roost at the front of it every night, covering the place in sh1t.
Has anyone in the meath area an air rifle and fancy clipping a few of the pigeons. Or would it be inhumane. There will be a modest financial or beer reward for the shooter.

    thanks

I'm surprised this post has sat here with no replies since mid afternoon today!
I'd love to help you but I only have a shotgun so it'll just scare them off rather than take them all out but if you want my help and you don't mind a few loud bangs just send me a pm.

Entirely happy to help - have a couple of moderated PCP air rifles for exactly this purpose.

Shall send you on a PM for details, hours, etc...

Is this a joke? Sounds like a set up to me - if not, glad to help:mad:

You start a thread looking for helping out with vermin control.. someone starts a thread asking for help with vermin control and you ask them is it a joke... if you really wanted to help you wouldnt ask them if they were joking

Your dead right Garv - I was a bit out of order and hence removed the post. I've PM'd the author with an apology and have offered my services. I've been a little paranoid since receiving some of the more negative responses to my thread, that I thought that there was a REMOTE chance that this was a kind of set-up, sarcastic kind of joke - posted by some kind of begrudged psychopath trying to lure me out to some remote spot in Meath.....You meet all sorts of weirdos on the internet ye know?

RE offering to help - I never offered to help, I just have a need to satisfy some innate urges to kill from time to time. It comes and goes.

Went out and had a look at the place for him last night - he's got a bit of a problem with them alright.

The ballistic solution is a complete no go however. One side of the building faces the street, the other side faces a courtyard full of apartments.

It's a listed building so I advised him to contact both the council and the heritage trust in order to see if they can help him out with installing nylon spikes or similar on the roosting surfaces to get the pigeons to move on.
