Saorview Box with RF Out?

Just wondering is there a Saorview Approved box available with RF Out, just like a Sky box does

No.
You need to either use an old VHS or buy a standalone modulator.

Ferguson Ariva 150/250 HD combo does

the 150 HD combo is what i have and it cost €110 in maplins

the 250 HD combo is almost identical to the 150 HD but has a built in hard drive and a card slot for encrypted channels.

Both boxes can tune saorview and freesat

yes they are saorview approved... i have the 150 HD and it works perfectly with saorview. i can even use my android phone to control the box (needs a firmware update from fergason first though)

i just look up about the rf out.. yes it seems it does need a modular for the loop out port. sorry my bad

NOTE: update the firmware FIRST then do your channel scan otherwise you'll need to rescan the channels again.

They are not Saorview approved. They won't even do MHEG5 teletext & interactive. The list of approved products is here: http://www.saorview.ie/equipment/saorview-approved-product-listings/

Plenty of non-approved equipment will decode & display video & audio.

Loads of boxes have an RF out socket, but it's only loop through no modulator.

You're best with an approved box and an old VHS or separate modulator if you really need RF. All approved boxes have SCART and can drive an RCA type composite in Video via a €2 adaptor.
