Just finished reading blue eyed boy by Joanne Harris . Very strange book , left me very unsettled.

I read it a few years ago, so I can't remember a lot of the details. The main character wasn't particularly likeable, which I usually find unsettling in a book. I think the unreliable/unlikeable narrator puts the reader in a strange, disconnected position. It doesn't stop me enjoying a book though. I thought Blueeyedboy was a very interesting story, very dark and twisted. I've seen some reviews giving out about how different it was to Joanne Harris' more well known books. For me, there's a dark side to most of her works so I don't agree with it being a different style altogether. I suppose Blueeyedboy has a more realistic feel to it, which makes it grittier and less fantastic, but not completely removed from previous works.
