I am a huge fan of John Daly and have been delighted with his consistent season to date on both the PGA & European Tour, he tried desperately hard to make his card on the PGA Tour but looks like he will come up just short.( Currently lying 143 from only 15 events)

On the European Tour however he is lying in 88th position after just 9 events and is playing this week in Shanghai. Can he get full membership if he remains in this position?

He has also improved his world ranking from 563 at the start of the year to 198 currently.

Come on JD, let's get it going!!:D

You need 13 so he'd still need to play Singapore, Hong Kong and South Africa. Cant see him being bothered as sponsor invites seem to come easy to him. I'm sure he'd love to get his card back on the PGA though.

Are you sure that you need 13? The reason I ask is that Rory McIlroy got his card when he turned pro by playing in 6/7 tournaments on invites.

I think you need to play 13 events if you are a full tour member

Yes it's probably 13 to be a full member, Mcilroy was an Affiliate member at the time.

Good article about Dalys targets on ESPN.

His goal does seem to be to get full memberhsip.

As far as i was aware he is a full member of the european tour, he has a 10 year exemption from his Brisish Open win. Think the only reason he hasn't played the 13 events is because he was injured during the summer. Think he only has to get the rest of the events in to keep his card.
