So I've been looking into Medicine for a fair bit now,I've realised that achieving 500 Points + is possible, but unlikely as I am taking 2 ordinary subjects which limits my Points to Max of 520.
But my CG teacher reckons there is other ways for me..
Something about do some course then apply for Graduate?
And then do the 6 YR course, with the PRE-Med year.
But I am unclear of the terms etc of the above...
I think a realistic Points for me would be 480 points.
    In HPAT I reckon I'd get 160-200.
Can somebody give me a hand sorting this craic out?
    Cheers in Advance :)

If it took 8 Years to just Qualify Med school,Is it worth it? Psychiatry or Doctor? 4 votes

No 8 years too long for any course.

Well,my knowledge on the requirements etc is not up to scratch, But all I can say is go for it! Lots of people get detoured of the fact they may have to do 2 years or so extra to do what you want, but what the hell! It IS worth it. I'd rather do 8 years to just finish MED rather than do 4 years in something I've no interest in :)

op, going by your numerous posts and threads over the last few days, you are not clear on a) your options, b) career paths or c) what you actually want to do. there are lots of threads and stickies in these forums about medical school, training, graduate entry etc. please have a read of those rather than opening more threads and reposting the same posts in multiple threads.
