    Hi

want some advice, my mate (lets call him dave) and myself set up a website 3/4 years ago and I had agreed to pay for the first year every month, I when I when I told Dave to change the credit card details and input yours he did so, just over a year it was decided to close the website and cancel payments, well that's what I was told by him, on Friday he e-mailed me and said the host website (http://www.letshost.ie/) took €50 out of his credit card He sends this e-mail (Got charged 50 for the renewal of www.***.ie from letshost.ie
I rang them up and they said that it was under your name with my credit card details, I explained that the website hasn’t been active in years but they said that we signed up to an automatic renewal subscription (load of bull****)

I will try and get the money back for us through the consumer regulatory authority but I really need you to give me that 25 this evening if possible

Thanks for your co-operation in advance)

Should I've even paid him that? it was his website up to him to ensure it was closed.

    Thanks

Well there lies the problem, €12 was to be taken from his credit card every month, he told me he cancelled his card and he got the new o2 money credit card thing, if he cancelled the site and cancelled his card why wouldn't they still take money, you could turn around and say he must have updated his card details, if the site is gone why update it?
