Does any one know when the last day for spreading dung is? Have plenty to spread and ground wont be dry enough for another few days, thats if it stays fine. Used to be 2 weeks later than slurry. TIA

fairly sure its 15 nov,On a side note when will all the suits in the dept relaise that calendar farming dosnt work.99.9 OF FARMERS relaise the value of farm yard manure and slurry and aint going to go out with it when land is sogging wet but as it is they are forced to get tanks emptied maby when land is only marginally good enough but are under pressure to get the job done because of these ridicolous dates which we have to work in.Youd often see it that you could get great weather in december and u can spread but then on 12 jan u can fire away if land can handle machinery

Many farmers will move on getting slurry out including my self in the next few days even though the weather may be settling down and ground is going to improve as time goes on simply because the powers that be leave it till nearly the last day to grant an extension for spreading Its so frustrating

It's October 31st, unless they extended it.

Press release re the extension says 31st October.

I think the date for spreading slurry was extended by 2 weeks, but the FYM manure date wasn't, it was always 31st October.

    That's what I read anyways...
