I'll be in Dublin with wife and 3 kids over the weekend before Halloween.

anyone know of any activities laid on? fireworks, craft fairs, that sort of stuff?

    thanks!

I know Ballymun and Finglas both have organised fairs/fireworks displays - organised by the local branches of Dublin City Council.

Depending where you are, there may be events planned.

Have a look here, the DCC website - section dedicated to Hallowe'en Events.

don't be put off by the areas listed, I can tell you the Finglas one last year was pretty well organised, seemed very safe and looked like good fun for the kids, the Fireworks were also very good, and there was a decent crowd out for it.

By all accounts, the Ballymun one is even better, and there are plenty of Gardaí around. If I'd kids, I'd probably be bringing them to Ballymun this year.
