These seem to be around for a while now, so what experiences are people having with them. Are they prone to leaks, is maintenance straightforward. I'm thinking of non steam type enclosure. generally are the pipe connection made at floor level?

Pipe connections are made at mid height level behind the taps/lever.
Obviously the waste needs to be installed under the tray as normal.
My view is that these are very expensive for what they are and tend to "creak" when used as there is a lot of fibreglass. Possibly easier to install than conventional shower in some cases as you do not need to build walls and tile them but for the money I would prefer to build an enclosure with a decent stone shower tray and spend the money on decent fittings. A digital shower will be easy to install as only one pipe and no taps etc.

Has anyone tried a Neptune shower enclosure? I'm contemplating it, but it is expensive... http://www.neptunebathing.com/
