Came accross this website, I thought it was pretty good, converts L/100km into M.P.G.

Dividing one figure into 280 will give you a fairly close estimate of the other figure;
5.6 l/100km ~ 280/5.6 = 50mpg.
28mpg ~ 280 / 28 = 10l/100km.

(yes, I picked easy figures to use as examples )

Nice, I got a scare recently when I converted what my Grande Punto's average was (pretty sure 6 L/100KM is more than 40MPG - it's 47MPG).

PS: I still convert to miles too, I can't work in KM's. My missus on the other hand scares the **** out of me when she says "sure I'm only going 130" - :eek:

Slightly off topic, but there was a similar thread a month or so ago, where someone mentioned a fuel economy/usage app. Anyone remember it or recomend one. Cant find it my self.

Road trip lite. ( ios) Great app gives averag mpg, cost per ltr, can be mpg l per 100 k, l per 10/ 100 mile and loads of other things. Dunno if it's on android.
