    Is there a specific law on noise and disturbing neighbouring houses,when working in a house or doing some diy?

    Are there any specific times that you can or cant use the likes of a hammer or a drill or anything to would make a bit of noise?

    Are there any laws with regards a matter like this and calling in the gardai??

    Thanks.:)

    From environ.ie;
    There is no specified statutory period
    during which certain works e.g.
    construction, road works, DIY etc. are
    prohibited. However, a Planning
    Authority may attach conditions to
    individual planning permissions for
    any development on a case by case
    basis. These tailored conditions may
    include restrictions on the times
    when construction work can be
    undertaken (see question 15)
