Yes. Wattage is the same, bulb type is the same, colour temperature is 4000K which is white and fullfills the NCT requirements.

The difference is in the fill of krypton, xenon etc. the treatment of the quartz glass and the filament which allows the filament to run much hotter producing more light for the same watts.

The godawful blue tinged ones you see the left hand drive VAG TDI brigade using are more like 7500K plus.

Yes they are. Other than the fact it says Road Legal in the description on Amazon they are legal anyway. We have very little rules in Ireland for bulbs anyway. They only way a bulb here is checked is during an NCT or in a garage PDI.

Are they much better than normal bulbs?

    Same deal for h7 bulbs?

Yeah, I had saw road legal in the description, but just thought I'd double check in case it didn't apply to Ireland. Thanks!

I ordered the item in the OP anyway. Came to €28 after VAT and P&P :)

Tip: Add a christmas pressie / stocking filler to get the free postage and get two jobs out of the way :-)

I use the nightbreakers ones myself they say 90% more light but the spec is basically the same +35m visibility its a big difference alright.
Definitely wouldn't buy any non branded xenon/krypton bulbs though, the uv filtering is key as the cheapones can fry the inside of your polycarbonate lenses.

    £12.70

am i asking a stupid question.....but what are the chances of having bulbs sent by post and one or both of them being blown?

also will these fit a 2009 mondeo saloon or do i need h7 ones?

    Cheers!

I'm sure they'll be marked as fragile and lots of others seem to have ordered online before, but there's always a risk that they'd arrive damaged.

I used the site below to check for my car and it turns out that h4's will fit in mine.

I checked for your mondeo and it shows that you'd need h7's.
