I've just installed a mullti-purpose burner: first burning last night. Anyway I've been doing the round of the web, youtube, etc and all the advice I am receiving is don't burn wood and coal together.

Now a number of my friends who have stoves installed say that they do mix and match but in small quanties.

One in particular says that she normally uses wood but will add the occasional three or four lumps of coal in a night especially if she wants to give the heat a boost and if she wants to dry off some of the children's clothes overnight.

What do you do. Is it strictly wood or coal? Or will you mix and match a little
