    Hi folks,

    I bought one of these

    http://www.did.ie/go-clever-digital-terrestrial-receiver-with-pvr-dvb-t200

the other day and it seems to job all right my only issue is that there is not loop through so I can't get my analogue signal from our satellite receiver which I have distributed around the house while using this. Does anyone know if there is any easy way around this or is this a limitation I'll have to live with. I paid €40 so I thought it was worth a punt (in the betting sense).:)

    Thanks,
    Brendan.

It depends on your equipment and how you have everything connected, how many scart sockets are on your tv and are they all being used, what type of satellite reciever are you using, etc.
usually with a sky box for example then skybox connects to main tv via scart or hdmi, this leaves rf1 output to connect to the go clever and rf2 to distribute signals around the house.

you could connect a splitter on the coaxial lead into the go clever ,and take one flylead from the splitter to the go clever and another fly lead from the splitter directly to the tv,this would restore the feed to the tv.

Got one of these today but during setup, Ireland isn't on the country list, what country should I pick? Can't get any channels so far?

I got them all after picking England, However the BBCs come up as teh forst few channels on the list and the RTE's after them, I couldnt figure out how to change the channell list unfortunately.

I set one up at the weekend and I just chose "Poland" which produced the list of channels with RTE1.... listed as required.

Another non approved unit with no MHEG, no Ireland setting, and it seems no loop through. Why not send it back as not suitable and spend a little more on an approved box? Out of interest did come with a UK/Ireland mains connector or is it a European type?

They can't retail without a UK/Ireland plug. That's actually criminal. Selling the €20 box at €39 with lack of full compatibility is merely nasty.

Agree with your points winston 1 and watty, I'd agree it's not suitable for your main tv but in my case I have combo boxes for those, this one was for a rarely used bedroom tv and it fulfills the basic requirements including the built in usb media player and fits behind the tv in the scart socket. No Mheg5 and no loop through but at €39 it's still one of the cheaper options available at the moment I think, don't know of any fully spec'd box at that price.

Yes it has a 3 pin adapter for the two pin plug and includes an infra red extender cable for the remote control.
