Hey, I'm wondering if there is anyone in the Galway area that would wire up a set of pickups for me and not charge me a ridiculous price. I'm doing some work on a bass guitar and would like someone to take car of that for me as I wouldn't be the best with electronics :P

    Thanks

    aw go for it!!

seriously, wiring an electric guitar isn't electronics....... it as simple as the soldering we do in first year with secondary school kids.

the cost of a soldering iron is less than you'd pay someone to to the job.

Wel I have tried but got some bad buzzing and would be happier to just let someone take care of it. Since I put up the post I have also being thinking about putting in an active system which I bought a few months ago. It would mean routing out some of the bass which I don't have the gear for or a workshop either.

Anyway, either way, I would like someone else with more skill and knowledge to take care of it. Any suggestions?

Paul Doyle on Dominic street .Kieran Moloney old malt arcade.

You could also ask the guys in Modern Music and/or Powells who they'd recommend.

Thanks Damodai, I might pop in to Powells and Modern Music and get some suggestions alright. I'm off next Tuesday so I will head in then. Has anyone had any experience with either Kieran Moloney or Paul Doyle. I know Paul's workshop is only round the corner from me but I have never heard anything bout his work. Any info welcome :D
