    Hi,

I recently got a 2TB Caviar Black from Amazon.

It arrived DOA, I suspect as a result of being shipped in a cardboard box with no padding...

    It was RMA'd.

I'd still like to buy one of these drives, but preferably from somewhere who knows how to ship them properly.

Amazon is out, as is overclockers as they have no stock or eta. Komplett don't seem to stock 'em.

Any suggestions on a reliable seller?

what price were you looking for.
€155 here but €18.99 for shipping. Ihave not ordered from them but loads of people here do. probably not worth the shipping for only 1 item though

I paid €182.97 to Amazon for it.

I don't really mind paying a little bit more, as my PC is running on an SSD with no HDD for my glorious Steam library.

Edit; Do they know what they're doing when it comes to shipping fragile/sensitive electronic components?

Elara have one for €167 if you can collect in Parkwest Dublin, works out about the same as Hardwareversand if you need it shipped though as its another €6.

    Thanks for that. :D

I'm working solid all week but I'm hoping to get it delivered to a family member who can take deliveries in their job.

I'm hoping if I order now it could be in the post tomorrow and maybe I could have it by Friday.

Do they package their stuff properly and use a good courier? That's most important. I really can't face having to RMA another one... :(

Not sure of the the courier company I don't buy there much any more as their prices aren't great nowadays for the most part. But they definately package their stuff properly. In fairness I'd be absolutely amazed if any of the major PC component specialists weren't shipping all their stuff correctly, I have order from a fair few over the years and they have all been fine.
