Campervan insurance cancellation/suspension

    Hi all,

I took out campervan insurance in July and last week had my camper stolen. I tried to cancel the insurance once we had agreed a settlement. However, they told me that I am not due a refund as I am "within the first 12 months of being with them". I then tried to suspend the policy pending the purchase of a new camper and was told that I could suspend the policy but that it would expire in July regardless. Which means it is essentially not suspended.

I do not feel that this 'should' be legal can anyone tell me if it is?

    policy docs: http://www.dolmen-insurance.ie/downloads/Camper_Scheme_%28Total_Package_NB%29_2012_RoI_27.02.12.pdf

    Any help much appreciated.
