Crank Bolt query

I had the misfortune to loose a crank bolt yesterday morning. I now need to work out what kind of bolt to get as a replacement.

the Crank is a RaceFace one, and the remaining crank bolt looks like this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3171

So far, so good. However, in the link above there are two sizes of bolt, M12 and M15, and I'm not sure what this means. Can anyone help me work out what I need to get, please?

Examine the bolt you have. It should have M12 or M15 stamped on it.

What I see is one for XC and one for what I presume is Freeride/Downhill cranks. If you don't know which crankset you have, you just need to measure the hole or bolt on the other crank (if there is one).

M12 means a 12mm diameter bolt (including thread), M15 is a 15mm diameter. If you know the model of bottom bracket you have then you may be able to find our online what size bolt it takes, otherwise you could remove the bolt from the other side and check its diameter.

    Seems deceptively simple...

It's got RaceFace-something-something with an X... It's sitting at home currently, I probably should have thought this through a bit better...

    Is it cadence x type?

Quick update... I measured the bottom bracket and it was indeed a M15 bolt that I needed for my RaceFace Race XC crank. I ordered it from ChainreactionCycles on Wednesday and it arrived in the post of Friday morning.

My mtb is now back in action (although the spd pedal looks like it may need replacing soon).

Thanks for all your help people!
