    Quick one...

I'm selling my 2002 car and trying to find the Vehicle Registration Certificate but have only managed to find the one in the picture attached for the car. I know what the recent VRC looks like and this ain't it.

Is this an old version of the VRC? Can I use this to do the change of ownership? I can't remember if I got a new one when I bought the car in 2006. Should I get back to pulling out presses?

    Thanks for any help!

I don't know why you would have more then one Vehicle Registration Certificate.

Does the cert you have not have your name on it.

No name on that one. I think it might be the original one from 2002 when you had both a licencing cert and a registration cert. I can't find a sample of what it looks like though.

Back then when you bought a new car, you got both a VLC and VRC. You need the the VLC to sell the car, if you cannot find it you will have to apply yo Shannon for a new one.

Where a Vehicle Registration Certificate has been lost or destroyed Form RF134 must be completed and forwarded to the vehicle owner's local motor tax office. This form must be witnessed and stamped by a member of An Garda Siochana. This form is available at all motor tax offices or can be downloaded at http://www.motortax.ie. A motor tax office will charge12 Euros for this service.
