Musicians Wanted Munster Area

Kerry based musician with experience (gigs, tours, recording etc...) looking for the right people to make original music with and to ultimately form a working non-commercial band. I'm a songwriter, vocalist, guitar player and occasional bass player who wants to make music for music's sake and not pander to current musical tastes or try to "make it" in the business (I believe art should be it's own reward!). Although much of my previous stuff could be regarded as fairly straight punk, rock or blues I'd like to try something a little more structured and dare I say it "avant-garde" but still with the energy of punk, try to think of a mix of Captain Beefheart, The Fall, Fugs, Pere Ubu, John Coltrane and The Gories and you're on the right track! Shared musical tastes, attitude and energy are much more important here than technical ability although it helps if you can play a bit too... but please NO flashy shredders!

High there, just read your thread, are you still looking for people to play? I'm a bass player, as in Bass player, not someone who plays bass cos it's only got four strings! I'm in Dublin at the mo, but i'm looking to move down to Kerry at some time soon. Influences would be early punk, post punk, reggae, some rock, and various other bits and pieces. I've been playin for over 20 yrs, and do some vox keys and guitar too. Get back to me at some stage and let me know a bit more. Regards...
