GOY Playoff in homeclub

    just wondering if anyone would have the answer to this question?

    Golfer of the year Points come from Monthly Medals which are Stroke play
    If there is a Tie on Points should the playoff be played in Stroke Play or Stableford? i would have assumed Stroke play since the GOY points come from Stroke play competitions all year? but my club have decided to do it in a Stableford competition?

    Presuming only two competitors for the playoff then it can be any format that the club wants even a matchplay game. I agree though that seems more equitable to be a stroke competition, but as GOY is a season long competition couldnt the winner be the person who had most first place finishes, second places etc until a clear winner is found.
