Superquinn no longer stocking Porterhouse brews?

Noticed stock of porterhouse beers dwindling over the past few weeks in my local Superquinn (Rathborne) and for the past week or so they have none at all. Does anyone know if they're ceasing to sell it? Is it still available in other branches?

Bloody loved their Hersbruker and Brain Blásta and they seemed to sell as well as any of their other non mainstream beers.

They are still selling Brainblasta for sure, but the other ones I've noticed have been replaced. They seem to have Galway Hooker in now and a couple of Dungarvan beers

If Rathborne is your local Superquinn, you are a short drive from Sweeny's of Glasnevin, I was in there on Saturday, and they have a huge amount of Porterhouse brews in stock.

You are also pretty close to the Porterhouse brewery in Ballycoolin.

Yeah, just got a reply from them to say they're still stocking that one. I guess they were just temporarily out of stock.

Might only be a short drive, but I live right above superquinn so if I fancy a beer at two minutes to ten I can run down and get some :pac:

Does the offo across the road not stick it?

It's not being stopped. We have cases of it in the stores. Must be just popular in Rathborne.

It does indeed, along with a very impressive selection of other craft beers.

Tbh I only went to the offie across the road once and found it had less of a selection than SQ, so never went back. That was a long time ago though so will give it another go.

Yeah, you should definitely go back over, very good selection of beers.

The selection has got better again in the last month or two.
Not quite a selection to rival Drinkstore but certainly better than the vast majority of other offies.

Can you buy direct from the brewery (in small quantities)? I live pretty near there and wouldn't mind dropping in, but I got the impression that it's just a production unit, no retail sales.

    Fear not OP...
Just saw that Carryout Ashtown (across the road for Superquinn) has an offer on porterhouse beers currently 4 for €6.
