Is it true that the semifinal of this festival takes place next week and the factories are going to up their prices from 4.50/kg to 4.70/kg this week.

A lad u our way was trying to get stock gathered for the live boat on Tuesday. Don't think he is going to make it.

He was looking for Ram lambs with balls.

If anybody hears what's happening could they post it here

    Thanks

Darren Carthy of the journal mentioned that there is some Muslim festival at the end of oct and he said this date was worth aiming for to fatten lambs

It seems that lamb is a favorite meat of Muslims and that the population is growing in Europe and that this is good news for the sheep farmers

Actually it shouldn't make much difference to pig farmers because Muslims don't eat pork. They think it's unclean. They only eat kosher meat as well- animal is prayed over then killed in a certain way and drained so that it's not tainted by it's unclean blood.

Anyways Ramadan was in September, it goes on for the whole month and Muslims can't eat during daylight hours. Not sure what would be important at the end of October.

26 October is the date of the next Muslim festival , part of which includes sacrifice of lambs cows and camels so could be a good time to move on anything with wooly balls or is standing under a ditch with a hump on there back

Either do the Jews for the same reason. They also have circumcision and a lunar claendar in common.

The reason given for not eating pork is the that pig is a dirty animal. However when left in it's natural environment, this is not the case.

The real reason maybe a little deeper. Two often reffered reasons include
    * the sound of pigs squealing prior to slaughter is very human like (no deliverance jokes!)
    * The taste and smell of burn pig skin is very similar to humans. Seemingly a lot of firemen don't eat bbq'd pork
