Joining a Sports Society

Ok so its 4th week this week which means there are opportunities to join societies that I didnt get around to joining in freshers week and I would really like to join a sports society.

I'm not super fit but not really unfit either! I'm a member of the snowsports club so I'll be going snowboarding every week with them but I'd really like to take up something else.

I was kind of interested in the rowing (ladies boating, dont know what its called!) but I dont know if a). you have to be super fit for that b). its one of the ones you need to join at the beginning c). is it quite serious?. I was also thinking about fencing..

Basically does anyone have any recommendations?

I had never done ANY sport or much exercise before in my life, and I joined the Triathlon Club this year (I'm a postgrad, so I'm old AND unfit). Everyone's bang on and they cater for all levels of fitness. I'm sure the rowing club is no different. I'd really encourage you to join up as my only regret is that I didn't do so sooner!
