The Huawei Y300 will be running Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 out of the box on a 4" display of WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels). The smartphone will be powered by a dual-core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and will feature a 1730 mAh battery

Why does it have LED buttons when it ships with JB and its software buttons?

Not all JB devices have software buttons. (Unless I misunderstood you).

Oh right. I thought software only buttons was one of the basis of ICS and JB and wondered was it not a bit awkward having both sets whenever you updated a device originally shipped with gingerbread

It's basically the same phone as the Ascend G510, except the G510 has a bigger screen, and 1.2GHz processor, instead of the 1Ghz processor on the Y300.

The ascend is available on Vodafone for €150.

My oul lad has been using it for a while now. He's a very light user and would only ever use a few apps.
I've used it a few times and find it pretty good especially as a cheap jb device.
