Round the world starting mid January, too late to book?

Hi,
girlfriend and I are planning a round the world trip: Dub - Singapore - SE Asia - Shanghai - Tokyo - USA - Dublin. Thats the basic trip we'd like to do.
Been quoted outrages prices £2,000 for round the world tickets. Could book myself but won't have free date changes.
Also wondering if anyone has a used a good travel operator in Dublin for a long trip like this. I don;t mind if they don't have free date changes just looking for good prices now.

Have you entered the same route in a few months later? How much does it come to?

yes trailfinders can be good for rtw fares even if they're not the cheapest for other travel.
