    Hi guys,

we are having constant problems with our water pressure in the house. It got even worse since the heating was turned back on. When you use the bath any other tap won't have any water coming out. Surely there must be a fault there. Who can I call to get this fixed?

Are you inside the Borough or outside? There could be a burst or a leak in a mains pipe near you. The Co Co have a Water Survey unit that checks these kind of things out. So a phone call to the Borough or County Council (which will soon be one) would be the place to start.

ok firstly, the bath is fed off your tank in the attic and the hot feed is from your copper cylinder. its nothing to do with the mains. if the pressure is bad when the bath is running it could be that the feeds to other taps are run off the same pipe when they all should have individual feeds of their own.

usually the first mains feed will be the main kitchen tap or maybe an outside tap. When you turn this on is the pressure good? Is this is very poor pressure then you may have a mains leak issue but it wont affect internal pressure until the tank in your attic has emptied.

Have you gone into the attic and checked that the tank is filling up in full and that the flow rate into the tank is good?
