just bought saorview box and it will only pick up bbc

i selected ireland and did auto tune and the only channels it gets is bbc 1234 and cbbc nothing else

anyone know why or how to fix it?
the ariel on roof picked up rte 1 and 2 tv3 and tg4 so going by saorview website the ariel should be fine
i live in balbriggan so i was under the impression it would work fine signal wise

heads wrecked really dont want to have to go back into city centre to get a new one!!

I don't think it's Saorview Approved.

But seems strange you are not getting Irish DTT.

Go to the Saorview coverage checker and type in your address. Certain areas around Balbriggan won't have Saorview coverage until Clermont Carn changes frequency/increases power on Oct 24th about 1300hrs, Saorview is on restricted power from there until then.

The BBC mux from NI went full power on Wed which would explain the BBC channels you have.

ah thanks i see now it seems the highlighted in red parts will not be till oct. and unfortunately half of my estate is in the red part almost looks like the red half of the estate starts at my house!!

well as of this morning still cant get irish channels on box but have now got bbc 1234 itv 1 2 c4 c5 e4 more4, suppose im not complaing too much i usually watch those channels dont really watch rte channels anyway but do like a bit of midday!!

A 'bit of midday'??? you likely need some aerial work to get Saorview or wait to see if Clermont boosts later today, it may not be sucking diesel yet.

its a talk show on tv3! i had tv3 through the aerial before according to the saorview website thats a good indicator its pointing in the right direction, as far as i can tell my area is still waiting for the signal to turn on at 1pm so il check again then. bit of luck il be able to keep the channels i have now as well as rtes

yeah will re tune it again later. ah sure if they dont come in im pretty happy with the channels that are coming through, its only in the bedroom so i could live with it! rarely watch anything on rte anyway!

So you tested compliance with Saorview (Nordig) specification in your lab and it passed 100%?

Gives me all the channels and text.
I didn't mention anything about it being Saorview compliant.
But don't get it if you want Saorview compliant one.
