St Vincent de paul should not be paying for peoples mortgages and cars.

Did these people not get insurance for their loans?

Nothing, apart from the fact that her daughter "the professional" has to slum it with the common people on the dole
    Annoying woman.

Such a crock, not getting at teachers, but if a teacher can't get a job then they are on all on Talk to Jack. Don't hear too many other professions on the "oh poor me" line.

Listening to the newly qualified teachers on the news last week really made my blood boil. Their sense of entitlement was unbelievable, talking about their "vocation".

'I've to go back to work'

Nice subtle dig at Eileen there.

It's quite clear listening to some of the recent callers that we need to introduce some basic budgeting skills to school children, certainly at secondary level but maybe even starting at 5th or 6th class. I find it incredible listening to people who are on social welfare but have a whole lot of outgoings that they simply should not have, finding themselves so broke that they cannot buy food or fuel. Even more incredible is that someone earning €65k cannot afford food.

I'd love to see the overall picture with some of these people, all the ins and all the outs.

I could easily put together a budget for a family to live on €65k with a €1400 mortgage, and I'll even throw in an annual holiday ffs.

I'll wager all the vitriol levelled at "Entitled" Eileen has helped her cop on and she's now bringing in the coal lump by lump.

Eileen should volunteer with SVdP, maybe then she might see what real struggling and trying to survive is really like.

I'd normally think that kind of comment was snide and unpleasant. I have to admit though, it made me smile. Eileen's radio has probably been thrown at the wall.

Haven't heard Joe say anything bad in that list.

If I knew her address I'd go round and do it for her. Can't guarantee it won't hit her in the back of the head though.

If drugs are accessable in prisons then the prison officers aren't doing their job properly.
