    Howdy,

So my friend is asking me if I will sell my rig.
I'm not sure what price to quote so I was hoping that you might be able to help.
    It goes as follows:

    Antec P182 Case
    Asus P6T Deluxe + Intel i7 920 CPU
    Akasa freedom tower cpu cooler
    8GB DDR3 Vengeance Dual Channel Kit, 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24, 1.5V
    256GB Samsung 830 SSD
    Enermax Noisemaker 650w PSU
    DVD-RW + DVD-Rom drives
    Radeon 5970 2GB

    Any ideas?

Attempted to make a current gen build with similar grunt.
    Item|Price
    8GB-Kit Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CL9|€35.58
Samsung SSD 830 256GB SATA III Paper Box|€156.40
Special item: Antec P180 silber, ATX, ohne Netzteil|€96.56
    Intel Core i3-3240 Box, LGA1155|€130.59
    MSI R6870-2PM2D1GD5/OC, 1024MB, PCI-Express|€139.00
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W|€43.33
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€620.45

So, considering it's all second hand, maybe €300-400? (wildly rough guess :p )

    while I can't comment on value, I can say that a 5970 =! 6870.

your best bet is to look up sold items on adverts and eBay. there is an box under advanced search options on eBay to list completed sales. Irish prices are a little lower that what they sell for on eBay unfortunately. and British people don't buy Irish listed items on eBay :(

you're best of separating the parts.

I can give you prices of stuff I bought on adverts in the last few months see if it helps.
    I bought two i7 950's for 100 each, a 920 is very similar.
I purchase a p6x58d-e which is the new version of the p6t range for 80 two months ago, 11 months ago though I purchased the exact board you have for 110.
Ram shouldnt drop in price by more than 5 euro over retail as they come with a lifetime warranty
I bought a hd5970 watercooled card for 160 or 175 cant fully remember (one with a cooler i would say would sell for the same price)
I've no idea about the cooler though
    For parts I would try
70-100 I7 920 if its DO stepping, 50 if its a CO Stepping
    60-90 P6t deluxe
35 Ram (much cheaper if you have to include shipping for just this from germany :) )
    150-175 Hd5970
    120-140 256GB SSD
80 Antec P182 Case: if mint
80 Enermax Noisemaker 650w PSU if still under warranty
    5-10 euro each DVD-RW + DVD-Rom drives
20 Akasa freedom tower cpu cooler

I'm not sure how much you would get for it without selling it for parts though.

So friend decided to go with a laptop in the end, but some upgradeitus hit me :/

Considering upgrading the CPU to the i7 3770s
    Any reason why I shouldn't?

If your just going to get a 3770, dont bother just get your own cpu overclocked but if your getting a 3770k then go with it, it will be a really good overclocker for the future :)

All branded high quality components - if selling on adverts i would price it north of €500, maybe as much as €600 for some haggle room with the lowballers

Aye. It was my gaming rig and has served me well at many a lan. Will be sad to part with it but it's just not practical to hang onto. Might give it a fairwell LAN before its sold too.

Thanks for the info. Will be selling on Adverts as it's the handiest. Deffo need the haggle room. Knowing Adverts I will probably get offered a fifth of what I ask for it.
