    Hi All,

Wasn't really sure where to ask this but I am in the process of setting up a Videography business and my question is in relation to insurance.

What sort of figures are you looking for equipment/PLI etc for a one man basic setup?

At the minute I don't have the patience to go trawling through all the online questionnaires out there.
I will do when I have a more definite setup.

    Thanks,

    IM.

For Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Legal Expenses you should be able to get covered for about E300.

Equipment obv depends on the value, but prob about another E200 - E300 on top.

What does PLI cover? Is it if you do something to someone elses property or does it cover you, say like a sporting event and something happens to you, like a football hits you or your equip or debris from a car etc?

    cheers

PLI would only cover you doing something to someone else - say someone trips over your wire and hurts themselves, or your tripod falls over and breaks a window or such.

You'd need separate insurance for damage/theft to your equipment.

Hi Dave, any particular place you'd recommend to go to for insurance?
