    Hi,

Just thought it might be of interest to some of you good folk.

NearFM have been helping to promote and give a platform to Dublin based musicians and bands since our creation in 1995. Throughout our time, We have been very pleasantly surprised by the wealth of talent that exists within the local music scene in both Dublin and beyond. It seems fitting so, that we create Near Records, a label with a community ethos, that pushes to help Dublin based artists bring their music to a larger audience.
Our debut release (a ten track compilation called Near Musical Express) is set for launch on Friday October 12th.We are currently working with five bands and each band has recorded two tracks with us for inclusion on the album.
    The five bands:
Johnny and the Beep Beeps (Rock) The Rattling Kind (Alt Folk) Band66 (Pop/Rock) Axial Symmetry (Trash/Industrial) The Statics (Beat Revivalists)
